We aim to make every experience — whether a private boat charter, island transfer, or another service — smooth, safe, and clearly coordinated.
These booking terms apply to all reservations made through EXPLR.SX.
By placing a deposit, you agree to the terms below.
Booking structure & role of EXPLR.SX
EXPLR.SX operates as a guided booking service, connecting guests with a small network of independent, licensed and insured providers.
We do not offer pre-set inventory or instant bookings. Each request is reviewed and confirmed based on your date, group size, and requirements.
A deposit is collected by EXPLR.SX to reserve your date and coordinate your booking.
The remaining balance is typically paid directly to the provider on the day of your experience, unless otherwise confirmed in advance.
In some cases, full payment may be required at the time of booking. This will always be clearly communicated before confirmation.
The experience itself is delivered by the independent provider, who is responsible for operations, safety, and execution.
Final details such as timing, meeting point, route, and inclusions are confirmed with you after availability has been checked.
Availability & confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and final confirmation.
We only take payment once a suitable option has been identified and confirmed with the provider.
Availability can change based on demand, weather conditions, and operational factors.
Cancellations & refund policy
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, the standard cancellation terms are:
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time are eligible for a refund of the deposit, minus non-refundable payment processing fees (typically 3–6% depending on payment method).
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
These terms apply to the deposit paid to EXPLR.SX.
Any balance due to the activity provider is subject to their individual policies.
By placing a deposit, you confirm acceptance of these cancellation terms.
Weather & sea conditions
Weather and sea conditions can vary.
Routes, timings, and stops may be adjusted by the captain or provider for safety and comfort.
If your activity is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions (at the provider’s discretion), you will receive:
- a refund of your deposit, minus non-refundable payment processing fees, or
- the option to reschedule
Travel disruptions & force majeur
We are not responsible for cancellations or changes caused by events outside our control, including travel disruptions, illness, weather systems, or other unforeseen circumstances.
We strongly recommend travel insurance.
Health & participation
Guests should be able to board safely and be comfortable in marine or outdoor environments.
Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, mobility limitations, or special requirements.
Safety equipment is provided where applicable.
Children
Children are welcome on most activities when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Guardians are responsible for supervising minors at all times.
Alcohol & guest conduct
Alcohol may be permitted depending on the experience.
Captains and providers reserve the right to limit consumption or refuse service to ensure safety.
Respectful conduct is expected at all times.
Equipment use
Equipment such as snorkel gear or paddleboards is provided where included.
Guests are responsible for reasonable use. Lost or damaged equipment may incur charges.
Cross-border travel
Liability
Participation in all experiences is at your own risk.
EXPLR.SX is not liable for injury, loss, damage, delays, or changes arising from the activity itself, which is operated by independent providers.
Any issues related to the delivery of the activity should be raised directly with the provider.
We are always available to assist where possible.

These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
