How does booking and payment work?
We first check availability and confirm a suitable private charter for your group.
A deposit is normally required to reserve the booking. For many bookings, the remaining balance is due to EXPLR.SX seven days before departure, while some charters have different payment arrangements.
Bookings made within seven days of departure may require full payment when confirmed.

Private charters are flexible within reason, but the final route depends on the destination, departure point, boat and sea conditions.

No. EXPLR.SX focuses on private boat charters, so the boat is reserved for your group.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first.
If conditions affect your planned charter, the captain may adjust the route or timing or recommend rescheduling.
If the charter cannot operate because of weather and an alternative cannot be arranged, the applicable weather cancellation and refund terms will apply.
How far in advance should we book?
Availability varies throughout the year.
For Christmas, New Year, school holidays and other busy travel periods, booking earlier gives you more choice of boats, departure points and dates.
Outside peak periods, last-minute availability can sometimes be possible.
