Rémy De Haenen; A Tribute to Caribbean Aviation

Intrepid adventurer Rémy De Haenen was the first to fly a plane – his personal Rearwin Sportster – to the island of St. Barth’s in 1946, landing it in the savannah used as pasture land for sheep at the time, in the same spot where the Gustaf III Airport* would be inaugurated forty years later!

1*Gustaf III Airport was inaugurated on October 1st, 1984.
