Located to the east of the island, between Oyster Pond and Orient Bay, the Baie de l’Embouchure is a 1000m long cove and a vast, humid habitat classified as wetlands.

Wetlands are teeming with life and thousands of species of plants, mollusks, crustaceans, insects, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals depend on wetlands for part or all of their life cycles.
