The Market Place; A Roman Heritage
In the urban planning tradition of typical French towns, which dates back to Ancient Rome with the presence of a lively market place called forum in Latin, this arena-like esplanade with elevated kiosk is known as the Place du marché.
Following its ancestral functions, the Place du marché is a place for people to meet, come together and represents the center of the town’s economic, religious and political life.
The busy Lolos restaurants, located in the continuity of the market place, complete the area’s social role as heart of the town’s livelihood.
