A Natural Healer; the Aloe Vera Plant
The Aloe plant is easily recognized by its long, pointy and spiky thick leaves, which shoot out and form a dense rosette. Aloe is a genus that contains more than 500 species of flowering succulent plants. Many therapeutic uses are made of the gel obtained from the plant’s leaves.
Locally, aloe is commonly used inside homes as a laxative, to aid digestion (aloe juice), as well as soothing sunburns, cuts, scraps, skin issues of all sorts and even more serious burns.
