Brown Pelicans love fresh fish!

The brown pelican is a piscivore, primarily feeding on fish which accounts for 90% of its diet.

Other non-fish prey includes crustaceans, especially prawns, and it occasionally feeds on amphibians, the eggs and nestlings of birds (egrets) and its own species.
