Amerindian Archaeological Site Near Electrical Plant

In 2002, an ancient archaeological site located on the strip of littoral that separates the lagoon from the sea on Galisbay, was known to date back to the Amerindian era. This result was obtained by dating the ceramic objects that had been found there.

This strip of land was located directly next to the parcel intended for the extension of the electrical plant. An action (Inrap) was decided to search the two acres where the extension was programmed, but results were negative since the ground levels where eventual ancient remains could be found had already been partly destroyed by past earthworks.
